About
My name is Katherine and I am a BACP qualified integrative counsellor with a commitment for supporting others through challenging times by providing a safe space for you to be heard, accepted and understood. A space in which we can work collaboratively together to try and make sense of your individual experiences and work towards helping you to understand yourself, your relationships and your world in more depth.
I have experience working with a wide range of different people, from different backgrounds and with different presenting challenges, from addiction and mental health to individuals struggling anxiety and depression and also with everyday worries and concerns. I aim to provide a space where you can share openly without worry of judgement or expectation, a space in which you can be yourself and find yourself.
I work with an interrogative approach rooted in humanistic therapy, meaning I draw on different proven theoretical understandings and techniques of how we are as people and tailor the work appropriately to each individual client based on what you bring to therapy, the areas you wish to focus on and what will work best for you at this time; always keeping you at the centre of everything we do.
